Biljana Milovanovic is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant impact in the world of music. Born in Belgrade, Serbia, on May 5, 1979, Biljana showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. Her parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue her passion for music. Biljana's musical journey began at the Music School "Mokranjac" in Belgrade, where she studied piano under the guidance of Professor Ljubica Stojanovic. She continued her studies at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, where she earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Piano Performance. During her studies, Biljana participated in numerous competitions and won several awards, including the first prize at the International Piano Competition in Niš, Serbia, in 1997. After completing her studies, Biljana continued to hone her skills and expand her repertoire. She attended masterclasses with renowned pianists such as Lazar Berman, Dmitri Bashkirov, and Elisso Virsaladze. Her dedication and hard work paid off when she won the first prize at the International Piano Competition "Citta di Marsala" in Italy in 2002. Biljana's talent and hard work soon caught the attention of the international music community, and she began to receive invitations to perform at major music festivals and concert halls around the world. She has performed in countries such as Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Russia, Japan, and the United States, among others. One of the highlights of Biljana's career was her performance at the Carnegie Hall in New York City in 2006. She received critical acclaim for her performance of works by Beethoven, Chopin, and Prokofiev. The New York Times praised her "impressive technique and musicality" and described her performance as "a revelation." Biljana has also collaborated with many renowned orchestras and conductors. She has performed with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, and the Orchestra Sinfonica di Sanremo, among others. She has worked with conductors such as Vladimir Ashkenazy, Gianluigi Gelmetti, and Fabio Luisi. In addition to her performances, Biljana is also a dedicated teacher. She has taught at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade and the Academy of Music in Novi Sad, Serbia. She has also given masterclasses in countries such as Italy, Spain, and Japan. Biljana's talent and hard work have been recognized with numerous awards and honors. In addition to the awards she won during her studies, she has received the "October Award" from the City of Belgrade, the "Vuk Award" from the University of Belgrade, and the "Golden Badge" from the Association of Music Artists of Serbia. Biljana continues to inspire audiences around the world with her performances and dedication to music. She is a true ambassador of classical music and a role model for aspiring musicians.
