Vicky Yannoula is a renowned classical pianist and composer, known for her virtuosic performances and innovative compositions. Born in Athens, Greece, in 1983, Yannoula showed an early aptitude for music, beginning piano lessons at the age of five. She quickly demonstrated a natural talent for the instrument, and by the age of ten, she had won her first national piano competition. Yannoula continued to excel in her musical studies, earning a degree in piano performance from the Athens Conservatory at the age of eighteen. She then went on to pursue further studies in London, where she earned a Master of Music degree from the Royal Academy of Music. During her time in London, Yannoula also studied composition with renowned composer Simon Bainbridge, further developing her skills as a composer. Throughout her career, Yannoula has been recognized for her exceptional talent and artistry. She has won numerous awards and competitions, including the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe Scholarship, the Royal Academy of Music Club Prize, and the prestigious Royal Philharmonic Society Composition Prize. In 2010, she was named a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in recognition of her contributions to the arts. Yannoula has performed extensively throughout Europe and the United States, appearing as a soloist with major orchestras and in recital at prestigious venues such as the Wigmore Hall, the Royal Festival Hall, and Carnegie Hall. She has also collaborated with a wide range of musicians and artists, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, and the renowned choreographer Wayne McGregor. In addition to her work as a performer, Yannoula is also an accomplished composer, with a growing body of original works that have been performed and recorded by leading musicians and ensembles.
