Shania Twain, born Eilleen Regina Edwards on August 28, 1965, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, is a country music singer and songwriter. She was raised in Timmins, Ontario, by her mother and stepfather, who was a full-blooded Ojibwa Indian. Twain's parents divorced when she was two years old, and her mother remarried Jerry Twain, who adopted her and her sisters. Twain's love for music began at a young age, and she started singing in bars at the age of eight to help support her family. Twain's musical career began in the early 1990s when she signed with Mercury Nashville Records. Her self-titled debut album was released in 1993, but it was her second album, "The Woman in Me," that brought her mainstream success. The album, released in 1995, sold over 20 million copies worldwide and won her a Grammy Award for Best Country Album. The album's lead single, "Any Man of Mine," became Twain's first number one hit on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Twain's third album, "Come On Over," released in 1997, was even more successful than her previous albums. It sold over 40 million copies worldwide, making it the best-selling country music album of all time. The album produced several hit singles, including "You're Still the One," "From This Moment On," and "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" Twain won four Grammy Awards for the album, including Best Country Album and Best Female Country Vocal Performance for "You're Still the One." In 2002, Twain released her fourth album, "Up!," which also achieved commercial success. The album sold over 20 million copies worldwide and produced hit singles such as "I'm Gonna Getcha Good!" and "Forever and for Always." Twain won two Grammy Awards for the album, including Best Country Song for "I'm Gonna Getcha Good!" Twain's fifth album, "Now," was released in 2017, after a 15-year hiatus from music. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, making it her second album to achieve this feat. The album produced hit singles such as "Life's About to Get Good" and "Swingin' with My Eyes Closed." Throughout her career, Twain has been recognized for her contributions to country music. She has won five Grammy Awards, 27 BMI Songwriter Awards, and has been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the Country Music Hall of Fame. Robert John Mutt Lange, born on November 11, 1948, in Mufulira, Northern Rhodesia (now Zambia), is a record producer and songwriter. Lange's family moved to Durban, South Africa, when he was a child, and he began playing guitar and writing songs at a young age. Lange's musical career began in the 1970s when he formed the band Hocus with his then-wife, Stevie van Kerken. The band released two albums, but they were not commercially successful. Lange's career as a producer began in the late 1970s when he produced the album "On Parole" for the band Motörhead. He went on to produce albums for several other rock bands, including AC/DC, Def Leppard, and Foreigner. Lange's production style, which involved layering multiple guitar tracks and using electronic drums, became known as the "Lange sound." In the 1990s, Lange began working with country music artists, including Shania Twain. Lange produced Twain's second, third, and fourth albums, which were all commercially successful.
