His father was a violinist, and his mother was a pianist. From a young age, Tassinari showed a natural talent for music, and his parents encouraged him to pursue his passion. Tassinari began his formal music education at the age of six when he started taking piano lessons. He quickly showed a talent for the instrument and began performing in public at the age of eight. At the age of ten, he started studying the violin, and by the age of twelve, he was performing in public as a soloist. In 1950, Tassinari enrolled at the Conservatory of Bologna, where he studied under the renowned violinist and pedagogue, Arrigo Serato. Under Serato's tutelage, Tassinari developed a deep understanding of the violin and its repertoire. He also learned the importance of discipline and hard work, which would serve him well throughout his career. After graduating from the Conservatory of Bologna, Tassinari began his professional career as a violinist. He quickly gained a reputation as one of the most talented young violinists in Italy and began performing with some of the country's most prestigious orchestras. In 1960, Tassinari was invited to perform at the prestigious Salzburg Festival in Austria. His performance was a huge success, and he was praised for his technical skill and musicality. This performance launched Tassinari's international career, and he began performing in concert halls around the world. Over the course of his career, Tassinari performed with some of the world's most renowned orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Vienna Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic.
