Norbert Palej is a contemporary classical music composer who was born on May 30, 1977, in Krakow, Poland. Palej's early musical education was heavily influenced by the works of Polish composers such as Witold Lutosławski and Krzysztof Penderecki. He went on to study composition at the Academy of Music in Krakow, where he received his Master's degree in 2002. During his studies, Palej was awarded several prestigious scholarships, including the Fulbright Scholarship, which allowed him to study at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York.
