Milos Raickovich was a Serbian-American composer who was born on August 22, 1956, in Belgrade, Serbia. He was the son of a prominent Serbian composer, Vojislav Raickovich, who was a professor of composition at the Belgrade Music Academy. Milos grew up in a musical family and began playing the piano at the age of six. He showed an early interest in composition and began writing his own music at the age of 12. Milos received his formal education in music at the Belgrade Music Academy, where he studied composition with his father and conducting with Mladen Jagust.
