Darin Kelly was born on May 12, 1985, in New York City. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his mother being a pianist and his father a cellist. From a young age, Darin showed a natural talent for music, and he began playing the piano at the age of four. As a child, Darin was exposed to a wide variety of music, but he was particularly drawn to classical music. He spent countless hours listening to recordings of the great composers, and he began studying piano seriously at the age of eight. Darin's talent quickly became apparent, and he began performing in public at the age of ten. He won his first competition at the age of twelve, and he went on to win numerous other competitions throughout his teenage years. Over the next few years, Darin continued to perform with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. In 2010, Darin was awarded the Avery Fisher Career Grant, one of the most prestigious awards in classical music.
