She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Weiss showed a natural talent for music and began playing the violin at the age of four. Weiss received her early musical education at the Vienna Conservatory, where she studied under the tutelage of renowned violinist, Wolfgang Schneiderhan. She later went on to study at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, where she received her Bachelor's degree in Music Performance. Throughout her career, Weiss has performed with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras, including the Vienna Philharmonic, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic. She has also collaborated with many renowned conductors, such as Herbert von Karajan, Leonard Bernstein, and Claudio Abbado. One of Weiss's most notable performances was her debut with the Vienna Philharmonic in 2005, where she performed Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 5. Her performance was met with critical acclaim, and she was praised for her technical skill and emotional depth. In addition to her performances with orchestras, Weiss is also an accomplished chamber musician. She has performed with many notable ensembles, including the Vienna String Quartet and the Salzburg Chamber Orchestra. She has also collaborated with many renowned soloists, such as pianist Martha Argerich and cellist Yo-Yo Ma. Weiss has received numerous awards and accolades throughout her career. In 2007, she was awarded the prestigious Mozart Prize by the Mozart Society of Vienna.
