Marie Therese Mattingly was born on May 12, 1985, in Louisville, Kentucky. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Marie showed a natural talent for music and began taking piano lessons at the age of four. As she grew older, Marie's love for music only intensified, and she began to explore other instruments. She started playing the violin at the age of eight and the cello at the age of ten. By the time she was in high school, Marie was already an accomplished musician, having won numerous awards and competitions. After graduating from high school, Marie attended the Juilliard School in New York City, where she studied under some of the most renowned classical musicians in the world. During her time at Juilliard, Marie continued to excel, winning several prestigious awards and performing in some of the most renowned concert halls in the world. One of Marie's most notable performances was at Carnegie Hall in 2007, where she performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 with the New York Philharmonic.
