The members of the Vienna Piano Quintet are pianist Till Fellner, violinists Boris Kuschnir and Helmut Nicolai, violist Thomas Selditz, and cellist Peter Somodari. The Vienna Piano Quintet was founded in 1984 by pianist Paul Badura-Skoda, who was a well-known pianist and musicologist. One of the highlights of the Vienna Piano Quintet's career was their performance at the Salzburg Festival in 1991. They performed a program of works by Mozart, Schumann, and Brahms, which was met with critical acclaim.
