Margot Rodin was born on May 12, 1985, in Paris, France. She was born into a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Margot was exposed to classical music and began playing the violin at the age of four. Margot's talent was evident from a young age, and she quickly became a prodigy in the classical music world. She began performing in public at the age of six and made her debut with the Paris Symphony Orchestra at the age of nine. Margot's parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Margot's education in music began at the Conservatoire de Paris, where she studied under the renowned violinist, Jean-Jacques Kantorow. She continued her studies at the Juilliard School in New York City, where she studied under Itzhak Perlman. Margot's education was rigorous, and she spent countless hours practicing and perfecting her craft. Margot's talent and hard work paid off, and she began to receive recognition in the classical music world. In 2005, she won first prize at the International Violin Competition in Indianapolis, Indiana. This was a significant achievement for Margot, as the competition was highly competitive, and winning first prize was a testament to her talent and dedication. Margot's career continued to flourish, and she began performing with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras. She performed with the New York Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Berlin Philharmonic, among others. Margot's performances were always well-received, and she quickly became known for her technical skill and emotional depth. One of Margot's most memorable performances was at the 2008 Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo, Norway. She performed alongside other notable musicians, including Diana Krall and Herbie Hancock. Margot's performance was a highlight of the concert, and she received a standing ovation from the audience. Margot's talent and hard work were recognized by the classical music community, and she received numerous awards and accolades throughout her career. In 2010, she was awarded the Avery Fisher Career Grant, which is given to outstanding young musicians who show great potential for a successful career in classical music. Margot was also awarded the Prix de la Fondation de France in 2012, which is given to exceptional young artists in France. Margot's career was cut tragically short when she was diagnosed with leukemia in 2014. Despite her illness, Margot continued to perform and inspire others with her music. She underwent treatment for her illness, but unfortunately, she passed away on June 15, 2015, at the age of 30. Margot's legacy lives on through her music, which continues to inspire and move people around the world. Her talent and dedication to her craft were unparalleled, and she will always be remembered as one of the greatest violinists of her generation.
