In 2015, she was awarded a grant from the Aaron Copland Fund for Music to support the recording of a new album. She has also been a recipient of the Chamber Music America Classical Commissioning Program, which supports the creation of new works by American composers. One of the highlights of De Prato's career was her performance of John Adams' Violin Concerto with the American Symphony Orchestra in 2016. The piece, which was written specifically for De Prato, has been praised for its virtuosic solo passages and intricate orchestration. De Prato's performance was hailed as a triumph, with critics praising her technical skill and emotional depth. De Prato has also been a champion of contemporary music, and has premiered works by some of the most exciting composers working today. She has worked closely with composers such as Missy Mazzoli, Anna Thorvaldsdottir, and Caroline Shaw, and has been praised for her ability to bring their complex and challenging works to life. In addition to her work as a performer and educator, De Prato is also a passionate advocate for social justice and equality. She has been involved in numerous initiatives aimed at promoting diversity and inclusion in the classical music world, and has spoken out about the need for greater representation of women and people of color in the field.
