Viktor Bijelovic is a renowned classical pianist known for his virtuosic performances and deep musical interpretations. Born on December 12, 1981, in Belgrade, Serbia, Bijelovic showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. His parents, both music teachers, recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. Bijelovic's early musical education was rigorous and comprehensive. He studied at the Music School "Mokranjac" in Belgrade, where he received a solid foundation in music theory, history, and performance. He also participated in numerous competitions and festivals, winning several awards and accolades. In 2000, Bijelovic was accepted into the prestigious Academy of Music in Belgrade, where he studied under the guidance of Professor Arbo Valdma. Valdma, a renowned pianist and pedagogue, recognized Bijelovic's exceptional talent and worked closely with him to develop his technique and musicality. During his time at the Academy, Bijelovic participated in numerous masterclasses and competitions, both in Serbia and abroad. He won several awards, including first prize at the International Piano Competition "Petar Konjovic" in Belgrade in 2003 and second prize at the International Piano Competition "Citta di Marsala" in Italy in 2004. After completing his studies at the Academy of Music in 2005, Bijelovic continued his education at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln in Germany, where he studied under the guidance of Professor Pavel Gililov. Gililov, a renowned pianist and pedagogue, helped Bijelovic refine his technique and deepen his musical understanding. During his time in Germany, Bijelovic participated in numerous competitions and festivals, winning several awards and accolades. He was a finalist at the International Piano Competition "Ferruccio Busoni" in Bolzano, Italy, in 2007 and won first prize at the International Piano Competition "Citta di Sulmona" in Italy in 2008. Bijelovic's career as a concert pianist began to take off in the late 2000s. He performed extensively throughout Europe, Asia, and North America, collaborating with leading orchestras and conductors. He also recorded several critically acclaimed albums, including a recording of Chopin's complete Nocturnes for the German label Oehms Classics. One of Bijelovic's most memorable performances took place in 2011, when he performed Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 3 with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of conductor Gabriel Feltz. The performance was hailed as a triumph, with critics praising Bijelovic's technical prowess and emotional depth. In addition to his career as a performer, Bijelovic is also a dedicated teacher and mentor. He has taught at several prestigious institutions, including the Academy of Music in Belgrade and the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln. He is known for his patient and supportive teaching style, and many of his students have gone on to successful careers as performers and teachers. Bijelovic's contributions to the world of classical music have been recognized with numerous awards and accolades.
