Tomás Garrido was born on May 12, 1985, in Madrid, Spain. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned classical guitarist and his mother a pianist. From a young age, Garrido showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Garrido's parents recognized his potential and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking formal piano lessons at the age of six and quickly progressed, winning his first competition at the age of eight. By the time he was a teenager, Garrido was already performing in concerts and recitals throughout Spain. In 2003, Garrido was accepted into the prestigious Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Alicia de Larrocha. During his time at the conservatory, Garrido honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of classical music. After graduating from the conservatory in 2007, Garrido began performing professionally, both as a soloist and as part of various ensembles. In 2010, Garrido was invited to perform at the International Piano Festival in Santander, Spain. His performance was a huge success, and he was awarded the festival's top prize.
