Roger Aubert was a French classical music artist who was born on January 1, 1926, in Paris, France. He was a renowned conductor, composer, and pianist who made significant contributions to the world of classical music. Aubert's passion for music began at a young age, and he started playing the piano when he was just five years old. Aubert's musical talent was evident from an early age, and he quickly became a prodigy. He studied at the Paris Conservatory, where he excelled in his studies and won several awards. In 1945, he won the prestigious Prix de Rome, which allowed him to study at the Villa Medici in Rome for three years. After returning to France, Aubert began his career as a conductor and composer. He conducted several orchestras, including the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre de Paris, and the London Symphony Orchestra. He also composed several pieces of music, including operas, symphonies, and chamber music. One of Aubert's most significant achievements was his work as the conductor of the Orchestre National de France. He held this position from 1967 to 1973 and again from 1980 to 1986. During his tenure, he led the orchestra in several notable performances, including a concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London in 1971. Aubert was also a prolific composer, and his works were performed by many orchestras around the world. Some of his most famous compositions include his opera "Le Roi David," his Symphony No. 1, and his Piano Concerto No. 2. He was known for his use of traditional forms and his incorporation of modern techniques into his compositions. Throughout his career, Aubert received many awards and honors for his contributions to classical music. In 1975, he was awarded the Grand Prix National de la Musique by the French Ministry of Culture. He was also made a Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur in 1981 and was promoted to Officier in 1991.
