She was the daughter of a music teacher and grew up in a family that was passionate about music. Her father was a pianist, and her mother was a singer, which inspired Anne to pursue a career in music. Anne started playing the piano at a young age and showed exceptional talent. She began her formal music education at the Paris Conservatory, where she studied under the guidance of renowned pianists such as Marguerite Long and Alfred Cortot. She graduated with top honors and went on to win several prestigious awards, including the Prix de Rome in 1947. After completing her studies, Anne embarked on a successful career as a concert pianist. She performed extensively throughout Europe and the United States, earning critical acclaim for her virtuosity and musicality. Her repertoire included works by classical composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, and Chopin, as well as contemporary composers such as Debussy and Ravel. One of Anne's most significant performances was at the 1958 Brussels World's Fair, where she played a solo recital to a packed audience. Her performance was so well-received that she was invited to perform at the White House for President Dwight D. Eisenhower and his wife, Mamie. Anne's performance at the White House was a great success, and she received a standing ovation from the audience.
