Ingrid Rugesæter Eriksen is a Norwegian classical music artist who has made a name for herself as a talented pianist and composer. Born on May 22, 1991, in Bergen, Norway, Ingrid showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. Her parents, both music teachers, recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue her passion for music. Ingrid's early years were spent studying music at the Bergen Music School, where she received a solid foundation in classical piano. She continued her studies at the Grieg Academy, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance. Ingrid then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Music Composition at the Norwegian Academy of Music, where she studied under the guidance of renowned composers such as Henrik Hellstenius and Lasse Thoresen. Throughout her studies, Ingrid showed a remarkable talent for both piano performance and composition. Her compositions were praised for their originality and emotional depth, while her piano performances were noted for their technical precision and expressive power. Ingrid's talent did not go unnoticed, and she was awarded several prestigious scholarships and awards, including the Grieg Prize for Young Musicians and the Norwegian Academy of Music's Composition Prize. Ingrid's career as a classical music artist began to take off in 2013, when she won the Bergen International Festival's Young Artist Award. This award gave her the opportunity to perform at the festival, where she received critical acclaim for her performance of Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 23 in F minor, Op. 57, also known as the "Appassionata."
