Guido Gualandi was born on May 12, 1985, in Bologna, Italy. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a pianist and his mother a singer. From a young age, Gualandi showed a natural talent for music and began studying the piano at the age of six. As he grew older, Gualandi's passion for music continued to grow, and he began to explore other instruments, including the violin and the cello. He also began to study music theory and composition, and by the age of 16, he had already composed several pieces of music. In 2010, Gualandi made his debut as a soloist with the Orchestra Filarmonica di Bologna, performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5. The performance was a great success, and Gualandi received critical acclaim for his virtuosic playing and musical interpretation. Over the next few years, Gualandi continued to perform as a soloist with orchestras throughout Italy and Europe, including the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi, the Orchestra del Teatro Comunale di Bologna, and the Orchestre National de France. In 2014, Gualandi was awarded the prestigious Premio Abbiati, one of the most important awards in the Italian classical music world.
