The founding members of Intersax were Jérôme Laran, Jean-Denis Michat, Arno Bornkamp, and Lars Mlekusch. All four musicians were accomplished saxophonists with extensive experience performing in classical music ensembles. From the beginning, Intersax was committed to pushing the boundaries of what was possible with the saxophone quartet.
