Johnson was born into a family of musicians, and his parents were both classical music enthusiasts. His father was a pianist, and his mother was a violinist. Johnson's parents recognized his musical talent at an early age and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. Johnson began his musical journey by learning to play the piano at the age of five. He showed exceptional talent and quickly progressed to more advanced pieces. At the age of ten, Johnson started learning to play the violin, which became his primary instrument. He was a natural at playing the violin and quickly became proficient in it. Johnson's parents enrolled him in the Juilliard School of Music in New York City, where he received formal training in classical music.
