Born in California in 1982, Wong grew up in a family of musicians and was exposed to music from a young age. His father was a pianist and his mother was a singer, and they both encouraged him to pursue his passion for music. Wong began playing the piano at the age of four and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. He also started playing the violin when he was six years old and continued to study both instruments throughout his childhood. As he grew older, Wong became more interested in classical music and began to focus his studies on this genre. After completing his undergraduate degree in music at the University of Southern California, Wong went on to earn a master's degree in piano performance from the Manhattan School of Music.
