Francisco Perales was born on January 15, 1985, in Madrid, Spain. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned classical guitarist and his mother a pianist. From a young age, Perales showed a natural talent for music and began studying the piano at the age of five. As a child, Perales was exposed to a wide range of musical styles, including classical, jazz, and flamenco. He was particularly drawn to the works of Chopin, Beethoven, and Mozart, and spent countless hours practicing and perfecting his technique. At the age of 12, Perales made his debut as a solo pianist, performing at a local concert hall in Madrid. The performance was a huge success, and Perales quickly gained a reputation as a prodigious young talent. Over the next few years, Perales continued to hone his skills, studying with some of the most renowned pianists in Spain and Europe. He also began to perform regularly at concerts and festivals throughout the country, earning critical acclaim for his virtuosic playing and sensitive interpretations of classical works. In 2003, Perales was awarded a scholarship to study at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City. There, he worked with some of the most renowned pianists in the world, including Emanuel Ax and Yoheved Kaplinsky. During his time at Juilliard, Perales continued to perform at concerts and festivals around the world, including the Tanglewood Music Festival and the Aspen Music Festival. He also won several prestigious awards, including the Juilliard Concerto Competition and the International Piano Competition in Santander, Spain. After graduating from Juilliard in 2007, Perales embarked on a successful career as a solo pianist, performing at some of the most renowned concert halls in the world, including Carnegie Hall, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Royal Albert Hall in London. In addition to his solo work, Perales has also collaborated with some of the most renowned orchestras and conductors in the world, including the New York Philharmonic, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the London Symphony Orchestra. Throughout his career, Perales has been praised for his technical virtuosity, his sensitive interpretations of classical works, and his ability to connect with audiences on an emotional level. He has also been recognized for his commitment to promoting classical music to a wider audience, and has worked with several organizations to bring classical music to underserved communities around the world. Today, Francisco Perales is widely regarded as one of the most talented and accomplished pianists of his generation.
