The Greenwich Trio is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2009. The trio consists of three members: violinist Lana Trotovšek, cellist Stjepan Hauser, and pianist Yoko Misumi. The ensemble has gained a reputation for their dynamic and passionate performances, and has received critical acclaim for their interpretations of classical works. The founding of the Greenwich Trio can be traced back to the Royal Academy of Music in London, where Trotovšek and Misumi were both studying. The two musicians met and began playing together, and soon after, they were joined by Hauser. The trio quickly established a strong musical connection, and began performing together regularly. One of the highlights of the Greenwich Trio's early career was their performance at the Wigmore Hall in London in 2010. The concert was well-received by both audiences and critics, and helped to establish the ensemble as a rising star in the classical music world. The trio continued to perform at prestigious venues throughout Europe, including the Konzerthaus in Vienna and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. In 2012, the Greenwich Trio released their debut album, featuring works by Beethoven, Brahms, and Schubert. The album received widespread critical acclaim, with reviewers praising the trio's technical skill and emotional depth. The trio's recording of Beethoven's "Archduke" Trio was particularly well-received, with critics noting the ensemble's ability to capture the piece's complex emotional range. Over the years, the Greenwich Trio has continued to perform and record together, earning a reputation as one of the most exciting and innovative classical ensembles of their generation. In 2016, the trio released their second album, featuring works by Shostakovich and Rachmaninoff. The album was once again met with critical acclaim, with reviewers praising the trio's ability to bring out the emotional intensity of the pieces. In addition to their performances and recordings, the Greenwich Trio has also been recognized with several awards and honors. In 2011, the trio was awarded the prestigious Park Lane Group Young Artists Award, which recognizes outstanding young musicians in the UK. The trio has also been featured on BBC Radio 3's "In Tune" program, and has been invited to perform at numerous festivals and concert series throughout Europe. Despite their success, the members of the Greenwich Trio remain committed to their craft and to each other. They continue to perform together regularly, and are known for their intense and passionate performances.More....
