Sarah Crane was born on May 12, 1985, in London, England. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Sarah showed a keen interest in music and began playing the violin at the age of four. Sarah's parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. She began taking lessons with renowned violinists and quickly gained a reputation as a prodigy. At the age of ten, Sarah made her debut performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London, playing the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto. Sarah's talent continued to grow, and she went on to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London. There, she was mentored by some of the most respected violinists in the world, including Maxim Vengerov and Itzhak Perlman. Sarah's dedication and hard work paid off, and she graduated with honors in 2005. After graduating, Sarah began performing professionally, quickly gaining a reputation as one of the most talented young violinists in the world. She performed with some of the most prestigious orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, and the Berlin Philharmonic. One of Sarah's most memorable performances was at the Proms in 2008, where she played the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto. The performance was met with critical acclaim, and Sarah was praised for her technical skill and emotional depth. Sarah's talent was recognized with numerous awards and honors throughout her career. In 2010, she was awarded the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, which is given to outstanding young musicians who show exceptional promise. She was also awarded the Royal Philharmonic Society's Young Artist Award in 2012. In addition to her performances, Sarah was also a dedicated teacher. She taught at the Royal Academy of Music and gave masterclasses around the world. Her students included some of the most talented young violinists in the world, many of whom went on to have successful careers in music. Tragically, Sarah's career was cut short when she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in 2015. Despite her illness, Sarah continued to perform and teach, inspiring countless people with her courage and determination. Sarah passed away on June 15, 2017, at the age of 32. Her legacy lives on through her recordings and the countless musicians she inspired.
