Giulio Ricordi was an Italian music publisher and composer who played a significant role in the development of classical music in Italy during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Born on December 18, 1840, in Milan, Italy, Ricordi was the son of Giovanni Ricordi, the founder of the famous music publishing house Casa Ricordi.
