Jan Engel was born on May 15, 1985, in Vienna, Austria. He was born into a family of musicians, and his parents were both professional classical musicians. His father was a renowned cellist, and his mother was a pianist. Jan grew up surrounded by music, and he started playing the piano at a very young age. Jan's parents recognized his talent early on, and they encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He started taking piano lessons when he was just four years old, and he quickly showed a natural aptitude for the instrument. By the time he was a teenager, he was already performing in public, and he had won several local competitions. Jan's talent and dedication to music led him to study at the Vienna Conservatory of Music.
