Piano Duo Takahashi-Lehmann is a classical music ensemble consisting of two pianists, Yumiko Takahashi and Andreas Lehmann. The duo was founded in 1995 and has since become one of the most renowned piano duos in the world. Yumiko Takahashi was born in Tokyo, Japan, and began playing the piano at the age of four. She studied at the Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo and later at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hannover, Germany. Andreas Lehmann was born in Berlin, Germany, and also began playing the piano at a young age. He studied at the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin and later at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hannover, where he met Takahashi. The two pianists formed Piano Duo Takahashi-Lehmann in 1995 and quickly gained recognition for their exceptional performances. They have performed in major concert halls around the world, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall, and the Carnegie Hall in New York. They have also collaborated with renowned orchestras such as the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra.
