Born in the United Kingdom, Bircher began her musical journey at a young age, showing a natural aptitude for the flute. She went on to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where she honed her skills and developed her unique style. Bircher's early career was marked by a series of impressive performances, which quickly established her as a rising star in the classical music world. She made her debut as a soloist with the London Symphony Orchestra at the age of 21, performing Mozart's Flute Concerto No. 1 in G major. The performance was a resounding success, earning Bircher critical acclaim and setting the stage for a long and illustrious career. Over the years, Bircher has performed with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras, including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. She has also collaborated with a number of renowned conductors, such as Sir Simon Rattle, Sir John Eliot Gardiner, and Marin Alsop.
