Nikita Boriso-Glebsky is a renowned classical music artist who has made a name for himself as a violinist. Born on May 22, 1986, in Moscow, Russia, Nikita showed an early interest in music and began playing the violin at the age of five. His parents, both professional musicians, recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. Nikita's early training was under the guidance of his mother, Natalia Boriso-Glebskaya, who was a violinist with the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra. He later studied at the Moscow Conservatory with Professor Eduard Grach, one of the most respected violin teachers in Russia. Nikita's talent and dedication to his craft were evident from an early age, and he quickly gained recognition as a rising star in the classical music world. In 2005, Nikita won first prize at the International Jean Sibelius Violin Competition in Helsinki, Finland, one of the most prestigious competitions for young violinists. He has also collaborated with some of the most renowned conductors, such as Valery Gergiev, Vladimir Ashkenazy, and Yuri Temirkanov. One of Nikita's most memorable performances was at the 2011 Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, where he won the silver medal. His performance of Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D Major was hailed as one of the highlights of the competition, and he received a standing ovation from the audience. In addition to his solo performances, Nikita is also an accomplished chamber musician. He has performed with some of the world's leading chamber ensembles, including the Borodin Quartet, the Jerusalem Quartet, and the Pavel Haas Quartet. He is also a member of the Moscow Soloists Chamber Orchestra, which is led by Yuri Bashmet. Nikita has recorded several albums, including a critically acclaimed recording of the complete works for violin and piano by Sergei Prokofiev.
