Born on September 9, 1986, in Seoul, South Korea, Lim began playing the piano at the age of three and showed exceptional talent from a young age. Lim's family recognized her musical abilities early on and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. She began studying at the Yewon School, a prestigious music school in Seoul, and later attended the Korean National University of Arts, where she earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in piano performance.
