Thanos Mitsalas is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant impact in the world of music. Born in Athens, Greece, on May 15, 1985, Thanos showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. His parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue his passion for music. Thanos received his early music education at the National Conservatory of Athens, where he studied piano under the guidance of renowned pianist and pedagogue, Eleni Papazoglou. He later continued his studies at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance. He then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Piano Performance at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp. Throughout his career, Thanos has won numerous awards and accolades for his exceptional talent and dedication to music. In 2005, he won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Thessaloniki, Greece. He also won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Rome, Italy, in 2007. In 2009, he was awarded the prestigious Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe Scholarship, which allowed him to further his studies in piano performance. Thanos has performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls around the world, including the Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. He has also performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic. One of the highlights of Thanos's career was his performance at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. He was selected to perform at the opening ceremony, where he played a piece by Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis. The performance was watched by millions of people around the world and received widespread critical acclaim. In addition to his performances, Thanos is also a dedicated music educator.
