He was the youngest of three children born to a family of musicians. His father was a violinist, and his mother was a pianist. From a young age, Linder was exposed to music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Linder's talent for music was evident from an early age, and he began studying at the Vienna Conservatory when he was just six years old. He studied under some of the most prominent musicians of the time, including Richard Robert, who was a student of Franz Liszt. Linder's talent was recognized early on, and he won several awards and competitions during his time at the conservatory. After completing his studies at the Vienna Conservatory, Linder began performing professionally. He made his debut as a soloist with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra when he was just 16 years old. This performance was a huge success, and Linder quickly gained a reputation as one of the most talented young musicians of his time. Linder's career continued to flourish, and he began performing all over Europe. He played with some of the most prestigious orchestras in the world, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic.
