Dóra Seres is a Hungarian flutist who has made a name for herself in the world of classical music. Born on December 28, 1979, in Budapest, Hungary, Seres grew up in a family of musicians. Her father was a violinist, and her mother was a pianist. From a young age, Seres showed a keen interest in music and began playing the flute at the age of six. Seres received her early musical education at the Béla Bartók Conservatory in Budapest. She then went on to study at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, where she earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in flute performance. During her time at the academy, Seres studied under the tutelage of renowned flutists such as András Adorján and István Matuz. After completing her studies, Seres began her professional career as a flutist. She quickly gained recognition for her exceptional talent and was invited to perform at various prestigious venues and festivals around the world. Some of her most notable performances include her debut at the Carnegie Hall in New York City in 2005 and her performance at the Salzburg Festival in 2007. Seres has also been the recipient of numerous awards and honors throughout her career. In 2003, she won first prize at the International Flute Competition in Krakow, Poland. She was also awarded the Grand Prix at the International Flute Competition in Paris in 2004. In addition, Seres has been awarded the Junior Prima Prize, which is one of the most prestigious awards for young artists in Hungary. Seres is known for her exceptional technique and musicality.
