Artist Info
Amaury Coeytaux is a French violinist who has established himself as one of the most talented and versatile musicians of his generation. Born in 1985 in Paris, Coeytaux began playing the violin at the age of four and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. He studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where he was a student of Boris Garlitsky and Jean-Jacques Kantorow. Coeytaux's career as a professional musician began in 2007, when he won first prize at the prestigious Long-Thibaud-Crespin International Competition. This victory launched him onto the international stage, and he has since performed as a soloist with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the Orchestre National de France, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra. Coeytaux is known for his virtuosic playing and his ability to bring out the emotional depth of the music he performs. He has a particular affinity for the works of Mozart, Beethoven, and Brahms, and has recorded several albums of their music. He has also championed the works of lesser-known composers, such as the French composer Florent Schmitt, whose violin concerto he recorded in 2015. In addition to his work as a soloist, Coeytaux is also a dedicated chamber musician. He is a founding member of the Quatuor Modigliani, a string quartet that has won critical acclaim for its performances and recordings. The quartet has performed at many of the world's leading concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York and the Royal Albert Hall in London. Coeytaux's talent and dedication have been recognized with numerous awards and honors. In addition to his victory at the Long-Thibaud-Crespin International Competition, he has won first prize at the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis and the International Violin Competition of Sion-Valais. He has also been awarded the Prix de la Révélation Classique de l'Adami and the Prix de la Fondation Simone et Cino Del Duca. Despite his success, Coeytaux remains humble and focused on his craft. He continues to practice for several hours a day and is always seeking to improve his playing. He is also committed to sharing his love of music with others, and frequently gives masterclasses and workshops for young musicians. In addition to his musical career, Coeytaux is also a passionate advocate for environmental causes. He is a member of the Musicians for Climate group, which seeks to raise awareness about the impact of climate change on the world's ecosystems. He has also worked with the French organization Planète Urgence to plant trees in Madagascar. Amaury Coeytaux is a true artist, whose talent, dedication, and passion for music have made him one of the most respected and admired musicians of his generation. His performances are a testament to the power of music to move and inspire, and his commitment to environmental causes is a reminder of the importance of using our talents to make a positive impact on the world.More....
