Alicia's parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue music. She began taking piano lessons with her mother and later studied at the Vienna Conservatory of Music. She also studied composition with some of the most prominent composers of the time, including Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's great-great-grandson, Franz Xaver Wolfgang Mozart. Alicia's early compositions were heavily influenced by the classical music of the Viennese school, particularly the works of Mozart, Beethoven, and Haydn.
