Na'ama Golan is a classical pianist who has gained international recognition for her exceptional talent and musicality. Born in Israel in 1987, Golan began playing the piano at the age of six and quickly showed a natural aptitude for the instrument. She studied with renowned teachers in Israel and later in the United States, where she earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the Juilliard School and a Master of Music degree from the Yale School of Music. Golan's early performances were marked by a sense of maturity and depth beyond her years. She won her first competition at the age of nine and went on to win numerous awards and accolades throughout her teenage years. In 2003, she was awarded first prize in the Young Artists Competition of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, and in 2005 she won the prestigious Aviv Competition for young Israeli musicians. Golan's talent and dedication to her craft continued to flourish during her studies at Juilliard and Yale. She worked with some of the most respected teachers and performers in the classical music world, including Emanuel Ax, Peter Serkin, and Boris Berman. Her performances at these institutions were consistently praised for their technical precision, emotional depth, and musicality. One of Golan's most notable performances came in 2010, when she was invited to perform at the White House for President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama. She played a program of classical works by Beethoven, Chopin, and Schumann, and her performance was met with enthusiastic applause from the audience. Golan has also performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, and the London Symphony Orchestra. She has collaborated with conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Alan Gilbert, and Daniel Barenboim, and has been praised for her ability to bring out the nuances and subtleties of the music she plays. In addition to her performances as a soloist and with orchestras, Golan is also an active chamber musician.
