Phillip Ens is a renowned Canadian bass-baritone opera singer who has made a name for himself in the classical music industry. Born on May 28, 1952, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, Ens grew up in a musical family. His father was a church organist, and his mother was a choir director. As a child, Ens was exposed to classical music and began singing in choirs at a young age. Ens attended the University of Saskatchewan, where he earned a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance. He then went on to study at the University of Toronto, where he received a Master of Music degree in opera performance.
