From a young age, Jacques showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Jacques received his formal music education at the Conservatoire de Lille, where he studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist and pedagogue, Jean-Claude Pennetier. He later went on to study at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where he was mentored by the likes of Michel Dalberto and Brigitte Engerer.
