Jacques Derégnaucourt was born on May 12, 1985, in Lille, France. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Jacques showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Jacques received his formal music education at the Conservatoire de Lille, where he studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist and pedagogue, Jean-Claude Pennetier. He later went on to study at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where he was mentored by the likes of Michel Dalberto and Brigitte Engerer. Throughout his career, Jacques has won numerous awards and accolades for his exceptional talent and musicianship. In 2005, he was awarded first prize at the International Piano Competition of Brest, and in 2007, he won the prestigious Prix Cortot at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. Jacques has performed extensively throughout Europe, Asia, and North America, and has collaborated with some of the world's leading orchestras and conductors. Some of his most notable performances include his debut with the Orchestre National de France under the baton of Daniele Gatti, and his performance of Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. In addition to his solo performances, Jacques is also an avid chamber musician and has collaborated with some of the world's leading instrumentalists and ensembles. He has performed with the likes of Renaud Capuçon, Gautier Capuçon, and the Quatuor Ébène, among others. Jacques is known for his exceptional technique and his ability to bring out the emotional depth and complexity of the music he performs. He is particularly renowned for his interpretations of the works of Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff, and has been praised for his ability to capture the essence of these composers' unique styles and sensibilities.
