Aldo Sisillo was born on May 12, 1985, in Naples, Italy. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a pianist and his mother a singer. From a young age, Sisillo showed a natural talent for music, and he began studying the piano at the age of six. Sisillo's early musical education was focused on classical piano, and he quickly became known for his technical skill and musicality. He won his first piano competition at the age of nine, and by the time he was a teenager, he was performing regularly in concerts and recitals throughout Italy. In 2003, Sisillo was accepted into the prestigious Conservatorio di Musica San Pietro a Majella in Naples, where he studied under the renowned pianist and teacher Sergio Fiorentino. Fiorentino was a major influence on Sisillo's musical development, and he helped him to refine his technique and deepen his understanding of the music he was playing. During his time at the conservatory, Sisillo also began to explore other genres of music, including jazz and pop. He became interested in the idea of blending different styles and influences, and he began to experiment with incorporating elements of jazz and pop into his classical performances. After graduating from the conservatory in 2007, Sisillo began to establish himself as a professional musician. He performed in concerts and festivals throughout Italy, and he also began to gain recognition on the international stage. In 2009, he won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Valencia, Spain, and he was invited to perform at the prestigious Chopin Festival in Warsaw, Poland. Over the next few years, Sisillo continued to build his reputation as a versatile and innovative pianist. He performed in a wide range of venues, from small clubs and cafes to large concert halls and festivals. He also began to collaborate with other musicians, including jazz musicians and classical ensembles. One of Sisillo's most notable collaborations was with the Italian pop singer Laura Pausini. In 2013, he arranged and performed the piano accompaniment for Pausini's album "20 - The Greatest Hits," which went on to become a commercial and critical success. In addition to his performances, Sisillo also began to teach and mentor young musicians. He taught piano at the Conservatorio di Musica San Pietro a Majella, and he also gave masterclasses and workshops throughout Italy and Europe. Throughout his career, Sisillo has been recognized for his musical achievements and contributions. In 2015, he was awarded the Premio Napoli Cultural Classic Award, which recognizes excellence in the arts and culture in Naples. He has also been featured in numerous publications and media outlets, including the Italian newspaper La Repubblica and the music magazine Musica Jazz. Today, Sisillo continues to perform, teach, and collaborate with other musicians. He remains committed to exploring new musical horizons and pushing the boundaries of classical music. With his technical skill, musicality, and innovative spirit, he is sure to continue making an impact on the world of music for years to come.
