Jan Valach was born on May 12, 1985, in Bratislava, Slovakia. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Valach showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Valach's talent was quickly recognized, and he began performing in public at the age of six. He won his first competition at the age of eight and went on to win numerous awards and accolades throughout his career. Valach studied at the Bratislava Conservatory and later at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, where he received his master's degree in piano performance. He also studied with renowned pianists such as Ivan Moravec and András Schiff. Valach's performances have taken him all over the world, including Europe, Asia, and North America. He has performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the Czech Philharmonic, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic. One of Valach's most notable performances was at the 2010 Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw, where he was awarded the third prize.
