Iryna Starodub is a Ukrainian classical pianist who has gained international recognition for her virtuosic performances and musical interpretations. She was born on August 22, 1985, in the city of Lviv, Ukraine, into a family of musicians. Her mother was a piano teacher, and her father was a violinist, so music was always a part of her life from an early age. Iryna began playing the piano at the age of four and showed exceptional talent and dedication to the instrument. She studied at the Lviv Special Music School for Gifted Children, where she received a rigorous musical education and developed her skills as a pianist. She continued her studies at the Lviv National Music Academy, where she earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Piano Performance. During her studies, Iryna participated in numerous competitions and festivals, winning top prizes and awards. In 2004, she won the Grand Prix at the International Piano Competition in San Dona di Piave, Italy. In 2006, she won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Cagliari, Italy. In 2007, she won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Andorra, and in 2008, she won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Jaen, Spain. Iryna's talent and hard work paid off, and she began to receive invitations to perform at major concert halls and festivals around the world. In 2009, she made her debut at the Carnegie Hall in New York City, where she received critical acclaim for her performance. She has also performed at other prestigious venues, such as the Berlin Philharmonic, the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Salle Pleyel in Paris, and the Moscow Conservatory. In addition to her solo performances, Iryna has collaborated with many renowned orchestras and conductors. She has performed with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, the Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra, the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, and the London Symphony Orchestra, among others. She has also worked with conductors such as Valery Gergiev, Vladimir Spivakov, and Mykola Diadiura. Iryna's repertoire is vast and includes works by classical composers such as Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, and Rachmaninoff, as well as contemporary composers such as Arvo Part and Philip Glass. She is known for her sensitive and nuanced interpretations of the music, and her performances are often praised for their emotional depth and technical brilliance. In addition to her performing career, Iryna is also a dedicated teacher and mentor to young musicians. She has taught masterclasses at various music schools and festivals around the world, including the International Piano Academy in Imola, Italy, and the International Piano Festival in Kiev, Ukraine. Iryna's achievements have been recognized with numerous awards and honors. In 2010, she was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine, and in 2012, she received the Order of Merit, Third Class, from the President of Ukraine. She has also been awarded the Medal of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and the Medal of the Lviv Regional State Administration. Despite her success, Iryna remains humble and dedicated to her craft. She continues to practice and perform regularly, always striving to improve and grow as a musician. Her passion for music and her commitment to excellence have made her one of the most respected and admired classical pianists of her generation.
