Podgorny's early compositions were heavily influenced by the works of his father, as well as by the classical music of the time. He was particularly drawn to the works of Beethoven, Mozart, and Tchaikovsky, and he spent many hours studying their compositions and techniques. As he grew older, Podgorny began to develop his own unique style, which was characterized by its complexity and emotional depth. His compositions often featured intricate harmonies and rhythms, as well as a wide range of dynamics and textures. One of Podgorny's early works, the Piano Sonata No. 1, was composed when he was just 18 years old. The piece was well-received by critics and audiences alike, and it helped to establish Podgorny as a promising young composer. Throughout his career, Podgorny composed a wide range of works, including symphonies, concertos, chamber music, and operas. One of his most famous works is the Symphony No. 3, which was composed in 1982. The piece is known for its powerful emotional impact, as well as its intricate use of counterpoint and orchestration. Another notable work by Podgorny is the opera "The Master and Margarita," which was based on the novel of the same name by Mikhail Bulgakov. He taught at the Moscow Conservatory for many years, and he was known for his dedication to his students and his innovative teaching methods. Sadly, Podgorny passed away in 2005 at the age of 59.
