CubaKlazz Brothers is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 1999 by three German musicians: Tobias Forster, Kilian Forster, and Tim Hahn. The group is known for its unique blend of classical music and jazz, which has earned them critical acclaim and a loyal following around the world. Tobias Forster, the pianist and arranger for the group, was born in 1973 in Stuttgart, Germany. He began playing the piano at a young age and went on to study at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart. Kilian Forster, the bassist for the group, was born in 1975 in Stuttgart and also studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst. Tim Hahn, the drummer for the group, was born in 1974 in Frankfurt, Germany, and studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt. The three musicians met while studying at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart and quickly discovered a shared love of both classical music and jazz. They began experimenting with blending the two genres and soon formed Klazz Brothers. The group's first album, "Classic Meets Cuba," was released in 2000 and featured classical music pieces arranged in a Cuban style. The album was a critical and commercial success, earning the group a loyal following and international recognition. Since then, Klazz Brothers has released several more albums, each one showcasing their unique blend of classical music and jazz. Some of their most popular albums include "Mozart Meets Cuba," "Bach Meets Cuba," and "Schubert Meets Jazz." In addition to their recordings, Klazz Brothers has also performed live around the world, including at major music festivals such as the Montreux Jazz Festival and the North Sea Jazz Festival. They have also performed with renowned classical musicians such as the Berlin Philharmonic and the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra. One of the group's most memorable performances was their 2006 concert at the Berlin Philharmonic, where they performed their own arrangements of classical music pieces in a jazz style. The concert was a critical and commercial success, earning the group a standing ovation and rave reviews from critics. Klazz Brothers has also received several awards and honors for their work, including the Echo Jazz Award in 2004 and the German Record Critics' Award in 2005. Their unique blend of classical music and jazz has earned them a loyal following and international recognition, and they continue to push the boundaries of both genres with their innovative arrangements and performances.More....
