Carlo Colombo was born on May 12, 1985, in Milan, Italy. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Carlo showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Carlo's parents recognized his potential and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking piano lessons with his father and quickly progressed, mastering complex pieces by Mozart and Beethoven at a young age. At the age of 12, Carlo made his debut performance at a local concert hall in Milan. His performance was met with critical acclaim, and he was soon invited to perform at other venues across Italy. Carlo continued to hone his skills and expand his repertoire, studying under some of the most renowned pianists in Italy. He also began to explore other genres of music, including jazz and contemporary classical music. In 2005, Carlo was awarded a scholarship to study at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City. He spent the next four years studying under some of the most renowned pianists in the world, including Emanuel Ax and Yoheved Kaplinsky. During his time at Juilliard, Carlo won several awards and competitions, including the Gina Bachauer Piano Competition and the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. He also performed at some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, including Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center. After graduating from Juilliard in 2009, Carlo returned to Italy and began performing regularly at venues across the country. He also began teaching piano at the Milan Conservatory, where he quickly gained a reputation as one of the most talented and dedicated teachers in the school's history. In 2012, Carlo was invited to perform at the prestigious International Piano Festival in Moscow. His performance was met with critical acclaim, and he was soon invited to perform at other festivals across Europe and Asia. In 2015, Carlo released his debut album, "Carlo Colombo Plays Beethoven." The album was a critical and commercial success, and it cemented Carlo's reputation as one of the most talented pianists of his generation. Since then, Carlo has continued to perform and record music, collaborating with some of the most renowned musicians in the world. He has also continued to teach piano, inspiring a new generation of young musicians to pursue their dreams.
