Transient Canvas is a contemporary classical music ensemble that was founded in 2011 by bass clarinetist Amy Advocat and marimba player Matt Sharrock. The duo is based in Boston, Massachusetts, and has gained a reputation for their innovative and dynamic performances of new music. Amy Advocat and Matt Sharrock met while studying at the New England Conservatory of Music, where they both earned their Master's degrees in Contemporary Improvisation.
