One of Dentello's early works was his Piano Sonata No. 1, which he composed while still a student at the University of São Paulo. The sonata was well-received by critics and established Dentello as a promising young composer. He went on to compose several other works for piano, including a set of preludes and a piano concerto. In the early 1990s, Dentello began to experiment with electronic music, incorporating synthesizers and other electronic instruments into his compositions. This led to the creation of some of his most innovative works, including his Symphony No. 1, which combined traditional orchestral instruments with electronic sounds. Dentello's music was often inspired by his travels and experiences. He spent several years living in Europe, where he was exposed to a wide range of musical styles and traditions.
