Jacob Will was born on May 15, 1985, in Vienna, Austria. He was born into a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Jacob showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Jacob's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue music seriously. He began taking piano lessons with his father and quickly progressed, displaying an exceptional ability to interpret and perform classical music. By the age of ten, Jacob had already won several local piano competitions and was gaining recognition as a prodigious talent. At the age of twelve, Jacob was accepted into the prestigious Vienna Conservatory, where he studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist and pedagogue, Professor Franz Schmidt. Under Schmidt's guidance, Jacob's technique and musicality flourished, and he began to develop his own unique style of playing. In 2001, Jacob won first prize in the International Piano Competition in Salzburg, Austria, which marked a turning point in his career. The competition brought him to the attention of the international music community, and he began receiving invitations to perform at major concert halls around the world. Over the next few years, Jacob's career continued to flourish, and he became known for his virtuosic performances and his ability to bring out the emotional depth of the music he played. He performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the Vienna Philharmonic, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic. In 2007, Jacob was awarded the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, which recognizes outstanding young musicians and provides them with financial support to further their careers. The grant allowed Jacob to focus on his music and to continue to develop his skills as a performer and musician. In 2010, Jacob released his debut album, which featured works by Beethoven, Chopin, and Liszt. The album received critical acclaim and established Jacob as one of the leading pianists of his generation. In addition to his performing career, Jacob is also a dedicated teacher and mentor. He has taught masterclasses at some of the world's leading music schools, including the Juilliard School in New York and the Royal Academy of Music in London. He is passionate about passing on his knowledge and experience to the next generation of musicians and helping them to develop their own unique voices. Today, Jacob continues to perform regularly at major concert halls around the world and is recognized as one of the most talented and exciting pianists of his generation.
