He began taking piano lessons with his father and quickly progressed, winning his first competition at the age of six. Perler continued to study with his father until the age of 14, when he was accepted into the Zurich University of the Arts. At the university, Perler studied under the renowned pianist and pedagogue, Prof. Eckart Heiligers. Perler excelled in his studies, winning numerous awards and competitions, including the prestigious Swiss Youth Music Competition. After completing his studies at the university, Perler began performing professionally, both as a soloist and as a chamber musician. He quickly gained a reputation as one of the most promising young pianists in Switzerland, and his performances were praised for their technical brilliance and emotional depth. Perler's breakthrough performance came in 2009, when he was invited to perform at the Lucerne Festival. His performance of Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14, "Moonlight," was hailed as a revelation, and he received a standing ovation from the audience.
