Artem Yasynskyy is a Ukrainian classical pianist who has gained international recognition for his virtuosic performances and musical interpretations. Born on August 22, 1986, in Lviv, Ukraine, Yasynskyy showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. He was quickly recognized as a prodigious talent and began studying at the Lviv Special Music School for Gifted Children. Yasynskyy's musical education continued at the Lviv National Music Academy, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and pedagogue, Professor Halyna Navrodska. During his time at the academy, Yasynskyy won numerous awards and competitions, including the Grand Prix at the International Piano Competition in San Dona di Piave, Italy, and the First Prize at the International Piano Competition in Cagliari, Italy. After completing his studies at the Lviv National Music Academy, Yasynskyy continued his education at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln in Germany, where he studied with Professor Pavel Gililov. During his time in Germany, Yasynskyy won the First Prize at the International Piano Competition in Valencia, Spain, and the Second Prize at the International Piano Competition in San Marino. Yasynskyy's career as a concert pianist began to take off in the early 2010s, with performances at major concert halls and festivals throughout Europe and Asia. In 2011, he made his debut at the Berlin Philharmonic Hall, performing Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra. The performance was met with critical acclaim, with reviewers praising Yasynskyy's technical prowess and emotional depth. Since then, Yasynskyy has performed with numerous orchestras and ensembles, including the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, the Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra, the Odessa Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Kiev Chamber Orchestra. He has also been a featured soloist at major festivals, including the Chopin Festival in Duszniki-Zdrój, Poland, and the International Piano Festival in Brescia, Italy. Yasynskyy's repertoire is wide-ranging, encompassing works by classical composers such as Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, and Chopin, as well as more contemporary composers such as Prokofiev, Shostakovich, and Ligeti. He is particularly known for his interpretations of the music of Chopin, and has been praised for his ability to capture the composer's unique blend of lyricism and virtuosity. In addition to his career as a performer, Yasynskyy is also a dedicated teacher and mentor. He has taught masterclasses at numerous institutions, including the Lviv National Music Academy, the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, and the Conservatory of Music in Shanghai, China. He is also a member of the faculty at the International Summer Academy in Lviv, where he works with young pianists from around the world. Throughout his career, Yasynskyy has received numerous awards and accolades for his performances and recordings. In 2014, he was awarded the Order of Merit by the President of Ukraine for his contributions to the arts. He has also been a prize-winner at the International Piano Competition in Rome, the International Piano Competition in Moscow, and the International Piano Competition in Shanghai. Despite his many accomplishments, Yasynskyy remains humble and dedicated to his craft.
