Role:PerformerMarian Plavec was born on May 12, 1985, in Ljubljana, Slovenia. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned conductor and his mother a pianist. From a young age, Plavec showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. He later went on to study at the Ljubljana Academy of Music, where he received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in piano performance. Plavec's career as a classical pianist began to take off in his early twenties, when he won several prestigious competitions, including the International Piano Competition in Trieste, Italy, and the International Piano Competition in Belgrade, Serbia. These wins brought him international recognition and led to invitations to perform at major concert halls around the world. One of Plavec's most notable performances was at the Carnegie Hall in New York City in 2010. He was invited to perform as part of the Rising Stars series, which showcases young and talented musicians from around the world. Plavec's performance was met with critical acclaim, with The New York Times describing him as "a pianist of exceptional talent and sensitivity." In addition to his solo performances, Plavec has also collaborated with many renowned orchestras, including the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Moscow Symphony Orchestra.
